Pinnawala elephants orphanage was established to feed, nurse and house young elephants found abandoned by their mothers. This place running by the Sri Lanka Department of Wildlife Conservation.There are more than 80 elephants here of all ages. The elephants are fed in their stalls. Each adult animal is given around 250 kilograms (550 lb) of this green matter per day. This orphanage also conducts breeding programs. The Sri Lankan elephant (Elephas maximus maximus) is native to Sri Lanka. In general, Asian elephants are smaller than African Elephants, what ever both of these fellows are gorgeous creatures in the world.

This place is one of the most popular tourist attraction in the Sri Lanka. If you want, you can feed baby elephants. Can you imagine anything as heartwarming just like this. Their bathing time is one best seen that want to see. I bet you can’t see difference reaction from elder and child.
